SMATV - Basic TV Only Systems:
The ballpark figure generally given in the first telephone discussion for a
basic custom designed system is $500 per channel for an installed basic system. (Our
basic private systems are generally less expensive, but this budgetary number
is generally sufficient to include satellite receivers, basic modulators, equipment racks, launch amplifier, jumpers, dish, and
miscellaneous equipment) The number could be significantly less
based on the brand of equipment, total number of channels, rack types,
commitment for multiple sites, and the simplicity of installation.

To add local channels, a few TV antennas need to be installed at
the property. This could range from an single inexpensive antenna on a wall
mounted 5' pole, to a couple of antenna's mounted on 40'-60' pole/tower. Then
you will need a processor for each channel that you want to provide. A good
budgetary estimate would be $1,200 per local channel to add enough for some of
the outdoor antenna equipment. If you happen to live in an area that
qualifies for satellite broadcasts of local channels you can simply use the
$500 per channel budgetary number.

A system like this would be shipped pre-assembled, RF balanced, and tested.. You would need a room that stays around 72 degrees and has space for a rack of equipment roughly the size of a home refrigerator (with 2' access front & back to service equipment). Upon arrival, the satellite antenna/TV antenna would be connected and the system is operational.
For the installation there are several options:
1. Install the satellite dish and TV antennas yourself and just plug in the new system. Harris Digital Networks will support you with installation documentation, telephone support, and RF meter rental. (Not recommended for complex distribution networks)
2. Harris Digital Networks completes the installation & testing.
3. We supply a local integrator from our contracted national installation network to install the system based on our specifications.
